Our office provides quality legal services in virtually all areas of insurance defense and civil litigation, as well as maritime and labor and employment law. The insurance defense practice includes first and third party insurance claims, as well as insurance coverage and fraud. The office's maritime practice includes defense of vessel owners and insurers in the areas of personal injury and death, cruise ship casualties, collision, and marine insurance coverage. She has experience in complex personal injury claims, investigating and defending matters involving insurance fraud, and defense of employers in both administrative and court proceedings. In the area of labor/employment law, Ms. Farley handles discrimination claims and wage and hour issues. Jonathan P. Education: Claremont McKenna College (B.A. with major in Politic, Philosophy, and Economics, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, 1998); Yale Law School (J.D., 2001). Member: Alaska Bar Association, California Bar Association. Ms. Stuart joined the firm in 2007. After clerking for the Alaska Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the State of Alaska for over three years. There, Ms. Stuart prosecuted numerous misdemeanor and felony cases, including felony drug, violent, and special assault crimes, and two murder cases. Her litigation experience includes approximately fifteen misdemeanor and felony criminal jury trials. Ms. Stuart's current practice is focused upon personal injury defense and labor/employment law.
